Anastasia: presented by Mt. Lebanon High School

Next month, the Mt. Lebanon High School auditorium will host the debut of Anastasia, a new musical that brings to life the fairytale legend of Princess Anastasia. Inspired by the 1997 film, the production follows Anastasia as she embarks on a journey to uncover the truth about her past after escaping her family’s demise and losing all memory of her royal life.

With vibrant costumes and an eye-catching set, Ethan M. LaPlaca, musical producer and vocal director, said Anastasia offers a lot for people to enjoy seeing, hearing and experiencing.

“We’ve got great talent on the leads,” LaPlaca said. “The costumes will be colorful and there will be our usual colorful set. It’s also an engaging story with really great music.”

Performances are set for May 1 and 2 at 7:30 p.m., with additional shows on May 3 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for students. Gold Card holders can contact Laurie Cerci at 412-344-2067 for ticketing details.
