Community Counts Volunteer Night

Help Allegheny County with their annual effort to estimate the number of people experiencing homelessness in a single night. Begins at 9 p.m. on Tuesday and can go as late as 2 a.m. on Wednesday. Locations assigned after registration. Must be 18 or older. Sign up online [1].

Black History Game Night

Lebo Coalition will kick off the event with a Black history trivia game, followed by an evening of board games. Mt. Lebanon Public Library, Meeting Room A. 6:30 p.m. – 8:45 p.m. More info [2].

Celebrate 25 years of PGC with a reception, live demonstrations and local artist spotlights. Free admission. Pittsburgh Glass Center. 6-9 p.m. More info. [3]

Friends & Lovers

Thursday, February 12

Celebrate love in all its forms at the Carnegie Museum of Art. The evening includes love-oriented art tours, valentine-making and special readings. Museum admission, snacks and a “love cocktail” are included with each ticket. $40 ($30 for members). Registration required. [4] 6:30-9:30 p.m.

Twin Hills Wineberry Removal

Saturday, February 21

Brave the outdoors with Mt. Lebanon Nature Conservancy to clean up invasive wineberry plants in the park. Winter is an ideal time to remove them, as their vines are more visible. Bring clippers, loppers and gloves if you have them (or you can borrow some if needed).
