The Homeless Children’s Fund [4] hosts an evening celebrating student voices through storytelling, performances and the launch of Echoes of Brilliance, a student essay collection. The Historical Society of Mount Lebanon [7] presents a 90-minute “hardly any walking tour” of one of Mt. Lebanon’s most historic intersections — where Washington Road, Castle Shannon Boulevard, and Lebanon Avenue meet — along with a stop at Southminster Presbyterian Church for a talk on its stained glass and bells, and a behind-the-scenes tour of Mt. Lebanon Public Library. $10 members; $15 nonmembers. 6 p.m. Meet at the History Center, 794 Washington Road.
Sharif Bey: Homecoming
June 26 through October 12
This exhibition at The Andy Warhol Museum [8] celebrates Bey’s return to his hometown and explores identity and place through sculptures inspired by modernism, pottery traditions, and African and Oceanic art.
