The Kiski School, a premier all boys boarding school, located 30-miles east of Pittsburgh, is celebrating 125 years of preparing young men from grades 9-12 and post graduates to succeed in college and in life. Kiski is known for its expertise in the education of boys.
To mark the anniversary, two major capital improvements are underway and include an addition to and the renovation of MacColl Hall. When completed later this summer, it will be the largest dormitory on campus and will feature a variety of green systems that will complement Kiski’s school-wide sustainability program. The second major project is the installation of a new track and field and will include a state-of-the-art turf field, a new track, and upgrades to surrounding parking areas and walkways. The new improvements will be completed in time for Kiski to host interscholastic football, lacrosse, soccer, and track and field contests at the new venue this fall.
The Kiski School’s new campus improvements are being funded through the School’s new $12 million capital campaign that will also provide additional funds to support student scholarships, increase the School’s endowment, and support new academic initiatives. Generous support was received from trustees, alumni, parents, and friends of Kiski. The School has also received grants from the Edward E. Ford Foundation, the Colcom Foundation, the Hillman Foundation and a $2 million challenge grant from The Richard King Mellon Foundation.
