Rear Window: Photorealistic Fruit

Bridget Ely, first-year AP Art student at Mt. Lebanon High School
I’ve been involved with art my entire life and began to take it seriously in middle school. I am excited to start my AP Art class next school year so that I can dedicate even more time towards my passion. I am not alone in my love of art, as my parents also pursued art in high school. When it comes to my art, I enjoy painting photorealistic pieces using vibrant color. This particular piece was inspired by making applesauce with my grandmother who formerly lived on a farm with an apple orchard and who has been making apple dishes for most of her life. In the future, I hope to continue to make realistic pieces that people can connect to.
