If you spotted a vehicle around Mt. Lebanon promoting Haunt Seekers, you may have wondered what that was all about. The answer has a local connection. Behind the advertisement, there’s a resident helping promote a nationwide organization rooted in a longtime passion for the haunted-attraction industry.
Kristopher Grady, Shady Drive East, is vice president and co-owner of Haunt Seekers, a nationwide paranormal ghost tour company headquartered in Mt. Lebanon that conducts haunted-attraction tours and operates an online and in-person gift shop.
“We often travel through the surrounding areas to promote our tours and events,” said Matthew Tucker, Haunt Seekers’ president and founder.
For Grady, Haunt Seekers is a natural extension of more than 17 years in the haunted-attraction industry. Grady has worked as a scare actor, created makeup effects and worked with music, including several years as a scare actor at South Park’s Hundred Acres Manor and at another haunted attraction in the North Park area.

Grady’s connection to Haunt Seekers began after meeting Tucker, who originally was based in Tennessee. The two communicated for several years before meeting in person after Tucker came to Pittsburgh.
“Tucker came here to Pittsburgh and met me, and we did tours around the Pittsburgh area, around Ohio, and expanded from there,” Grady said.
Grady has been with Haunt Seekers for seven years and now helps oversee the organization’s operations, including design and promotion. The organization began as a haunt review team and now works with haunted-attraction owners, promotes attractions and conducts tours around the country.
Its tenth season includes haunt tours in Cookeville, Tennessee, through a partnership with Mountain Mayhem Haunted Corn Maze.
Although current tours are taking place outside of Pittsburgh, Grady said some Pittsburgh-area residents have made the trip to Tennessee to participate.
“We’ve had some people drive that far to do that,” Grady said.
Haunt Seekers has also developed relationships with attractions in other parts of the country. In 2023, the company partnered with Haunted Overload in New Hampshire. Grady and Tucker have also partnered with Woods of Terror in Greensboro, North Carolina, and Red Vein Haunted Attraction in Ashland, Virginia.
There isn’t currently a Haunt Seekers event planned in Mt. Lebanon, but Grady said a Pittsburgh-area event could be in the organization’s future.
For local residents who enjoy haunted attractions, Grady recommends keeping an eye on the Haunt Seekers website, which is updated regularly with information about tours, events and promotions.
