A pair of professional photographers from Dormont have turned their vision into a reality with Studio Se7en, a rentable creative and portrait studio that opened in January at 433 Cochran Road.
The space, run by Savannah Beegle and Tanner Cupari, offers a sunlit studio for both their own work and the growing community of local photographers in the South Hills.
“We found that we were really limited in regard to studios in the South Hills, especially natural light studios,” Beegle said. “So, we found the space in Mt. Lebanon in such a walkable, heavily trafficked road — we thought it was perfect.”
Studio Se7en provides more than 1,000 square feet of space across two floors, with the upper level serving as the main shooting area. The studio includes a coffee station, snacks, seamless colored backdrops, a Bluetooth speaker and flexible furniture arrangements.
“There’s also a hair and makeup station towards the back of the studio, so if you have hair stylists or makeup artists, they’re free to use that as well,” Beegle said.
Beegle and Cupari, full-time wedding photographers since 2017, began shifting into more branding and creative portrait work in 2024. The need for a customizable, well-lit studio became apparent during that transition.
“We took what we would want in a studio space and created one of our own,” Beegle said.
Rental rates for Studio Se7en start at $40 per hour on weekdays and $50 per hour on weekends, with discounted pricing for sessions lasting more than six hours. Customers can book directly through their website.
In addition to photography, the space is available for private events, video shoots and small productions.
“We’ve rented it out for small meetings and video shoots,” Beegle said. “We’re definitely open to different kinds of creative uses.”
Looking ahead, Beegle said they hope to introduce seasonal or monthly rotating photo installations to keep the space dynamic and engaging.
