Jocelyn Artinger

Markham Elementary School principal Jocelyn Artinger collaborated on a book titled Social and Emotional Learning in Action: Creating Systemic Change in Schools. The chapter she co-authored was one of four from the book that was selected for presentation at the American Educational Research Association conference in Chicago.

 
Michael Orstein

Parkview Drive resident Michael Orstein has been selected for induction into the Washington & Jefferson University’s Athletics Hall of Fame. A swimming and diving coach, Orstein was named the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Coach of the Year 15 times over the course of his three-decade career, guiding nine teams to conference championships and producing 251 individual conference champions. Orstein’s dual meet win-loss record is 487-219-3. He coached his daughter, Kaitlyn Orstein Fife, to eight NCAA Division III titles and 14 All-America finishes. Orstein also served as head men’s and women’s track and field coach for several years.
