Social Media and Blog Comment Policy for Readers
As an extension of Mt. Lebanon’s official municipal website (www.mtlebanon.org), some official social media outlets utilized by the public information office may allow for public comment and posting. We do so with the goal of fostering open and transparent communication between municipal officials and residents, as well as promoting and strengthening the positive character of our community. The same shall be true of any blog on our magazine website, www.lebomag.com. We sincerely hope those who participate will do so in a constructive, polite manner, with respect for any opposing views of other people.
Once posted, Mt. Lebanon reserves the right to delete any submission that contains:
- obscene language/images
- off topic comments
- threats of violence
Comments posted by members of the public on any Mt. Lebanon social media site or blog are the opinions of the commentator/poster only, and publication of a comment does not imply endorsement of, or agreement by, the municipality of Mt. Lebanon, nor do such comments necessarily reflect the opinions or policies of Mt. Lebanon. Comments on blog posts will not be posted until approved by a moderator and are subject to the same rules as above. Commenters must use their own names.
