Brynn Murawski, MacArthur Drive, is the summer intern for the public information office. Murawski graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School in 2023 and is now a senior at the University of Pittsburgh, where she is majoring in film production and nonfiction writing.

At Pitt, Murawski is the opinions editor for The Pitt News, a head writer for sketch comedy show Pitt Tonight and an editor for the Dietrich School’s undergraduate journal Forbes & Fifth.

This summer, Murawski is also working on a documentary, funded by a Pitt undergraduate research award, about the development of an AI data center in Springdale.

Before her position as an intern for the public information office, Murawski taught a film summer enrichment course at Mt. Lebanon High School and a film summer camp for the Pitt Community Engagement Center in the Hill District. Prior to that, she worked as a page at the Mt. Lebanon Public Library.

In her free time, Murawski enjoys trying new gluten-free foods, spending time with animals and watching TV. After graduation, Murawski hopes to do work that lets her keep telling stories, however that may look.

Alexander Fair is this year’s recipient of the Lt. Terrence Mulkeen Memorial Award, given in memory of Terrence Mulkeen, a 1977 Mt. Lebanon High School graduate who became a Navy pilot and was killed on a training mission in 1991. Mulkeen’s friends created the scholarship in his memory that has awarded $200,000 to Mt. Lebanon students over the past 35 years. Fair will be attending Notre Dame where he will major in biochemistry.
