chill the chill with chili

Start edging winter toward the door at the fourth annual Winterfest, Saturday, February 28, in Clearview Common, uptown. From noon to 3, the Mt. Lebanon Partnership will host the Fest, where for just $15 you can sample chili from lots of local restaurants, and vote for the best in show. You also can take the Public Safety Challenge, where police, fire and medical rescue settle long-simmering grudges out in the street with long-simmering pots of chili. There’s beer, and there may be more fun stuff as plans take shape. Get your tickets at or at the gate. We’ll list the participating restaurants closer to go time on our Facebook page.
