After almost four years, Golden Beetle gift shop moved from its original 95 Central Square location to a larger space at 733 Washington Road. The new storefront was formerly home to Anne Gregory Couture.

Owner Meredith Broussard describes Golden Beetle as “a shop with unique gift items and unique small home accessories. I try to find things that you just don’t see everywhere.”

Their old space lacked the necessities for Golden Beetle to truly thrive.

“It was small, it was off the beaten path and we had no storage,” Broussard said.

Now, the business is directly on Washington Road, which Broussard hopes will bring in more customers, as they now “have plenty of visibility.”

The new location opened on Saturday, August 8. Featuring a larger floorplan, the space will also allow Broussard to bring in different product lines. Broussard has no plans to continue expanding in the near future, especially with all the benefits offered by the recent move.

“It was a win-win.”
