AN EVENING WITH ERIK LARSON

Author Erik Larson will be the speaker at this year’s Mt. Lebanon Public Library Speaker Series at Mellon Middle School Auditorium. The series honors the memory of Joe Wertheim, former president of the library board and the Friends of Mt. Lebanon Public Library. Larson is a master of narrative non-fiction. His vividly written, bestselling books have won several awards and been published worldwide. Dead Wake: The Last Crossing of the Lusitania, was No. 1 on the New York Times bestseller list. His critically acclaimed The Devil in the White City, intertwines the stories of the Chicago 1893 World Fair and one of America’s worst serial killers. It remained on the New York Times bestseller lists for six years, won an Edgar Award for nonfiction crime writing, and was nominated for the National Book Award. Larson’s books will be available for purchase from City Books at the lecture. Attendees may also bring their own books for signing. Tickets are $20, on sale now here and at the library.
