Magazine Makeover

After months of planning and thoughtful design, Mt. Lebanon Magazine is proud to unveil a more aesthetically pleasing and accessible lebomag.com.

The website launched in 2011 and received a minor update in 2016, so it was time for a change. We partnered with Krakoff Communications, who also designed our latest municipal website rebrand, in 2023.

From the moment you land on the refreshed website, which launched in late July, you’ll notice a sleek, clean design that’s easier to read and navigate. The new layout is more intuitive, with improved visual elements to draw in readers.

The site improves ADA compliance, meaning it’s optimized for people with visual impairments and other disabilities.

Visitors can adjust font sizes, spacing and alignment; use high-contrast or low-vision-friendly modes; navigate more easily with enlarged cursors; utilize screen reader support; and enjoy improved text-to-voice pronunciation thanks to embedded language settings.

The new site is also strategically designed to complement the fonts and colors on mtlebanon.org to reflect a cohesive municipal identity.

That alignment extends to our print magazine, too. You’ll notice this print edition of Mt. Lebanon Magazine also has a new look. Our in-house designer, Amy Robinson, led a soft redesign of the magazine to keep our content fresh and fun. Many of the staple elements remained the same, like our masthead and general layout, but we’ve changed the Events Calendar, formerly known as Down in Front, and tweaked the fonts and other design elements. Again, these changes should make our magazine more readable and accessible to everyone.

We’d love to hear your feedback on our products anytime! We always strive to make Mt. Lebanon Magazine the premier destination for all things Lebo, from government news to community member profiles. We hope our new look will catch your eye.
