New Consignment Store Coming to Castle Shannon Boulevard

Grey Parrot Consignment Gallery will move into the space being vacated by Northside Carpet & Oriental Rugs

Moving? Downsizing? Not wearing that particular outfit anymore? Start rounding up those unused and unwanted items. A new consignment store is opening soon in Mt. Lebanon.

Grey Parrot Consignment Gallery is moving into 322 Castle Shannon Boulevard, the location Northside Carpet & Oriental Rugs is moving out of in May.

Natalie Lichtman, who grew up on James Place in Mt. Lebanon but now lives in Upper St. Clair, has always loved consignment stores. She has fond memories of helping her mom, Sheila Grenadier, at Classy Kids, the consignment store Grenadier used to own on Greentree Road.

After spending 16 years in healthcare, Lichtman was ready to make the move into retail. She found a great location in Mt. Lebanon and just decided to do it.

“I have always wanted to open a consignment store and to have my parents, my husband, and my kids be a part of this with me is a dream come true. I can’t wait to serve the community with amazing, upscale items at great prices.”

She’s in the process of collecting women’s, men’s and children’s clothing and accessories to put on consignment. She’s taking name brand, designer high-end labels in great to new condition, upscale home decor and furniture and sporting goods. “I think that’s something the community is missing, being able to find sporting goods,” she said.

Lichtman is making it easy for prospective sellers by doing free pickups in April. All you need to do is fill out a form and leave your items on your porch, or she’ll come to your house and pick them up. It’s a service not many places offer.

Grey Parrot Consignment Gallery, named after Lichtman’s African Grey Parrot, Elvis, who will be in the building greeting customers, will set the selling price and do a 50/50 split. Items that don’t sell after 90 days can either be returned or donated.
