Rear Window: Rowan Tieman
Rowan Tieman
I started out wanting to be in the performing arts, however a really great experience in an eighth-grade art class inspired a love of painting with unconventional colors and poses. Last year in AP Art, I studied the idea of objects, colors, and textures that you wouldn’t usually see together. This year I wanted to focus on being able to convey that same sense of unconventionalism in a single space. Specifically, on how odd life can feel as a teenager. I hope that people can feel the movement and emotion within the subjects of my work. In this piece specifically, I hope to capture that wacky and hysterical feeling you get with your friends.
