Abby Baer, senior AP Art student

I never expected to be so involved in the art program, but have loved my entire experience. In the chaos of life, I find art reminds me of what it means to be human. My art is heavily focused on places I’ve traveled, connecting me to nature and my memories with my family and friends. My goal with this piece in particular is to capture the aesthetic experience we all share when visiting the ocean. Although I am not pursuing art as a major in college, I know it will always be an impactful part of my life.
