SEEKING JUNIOR COMMISSIONERS
Becoming a Mt. Lebanon junior commissioner or board member is a great way to learn more about how local government operates and to see whether you might be interested in a career in public service. The Commission is seeking two Mt. Lebanon students to serve as junior commissioners for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates must be rising juniors or seniors and will serve one semester. They will attend public meetings, report on student initiatives and get a close-up look at local government. Apply by July 1 at mtlebanon.org. Interviews will take place in late summer.

NEARLY $1 MILLION AWARDED TO REC CENTER
$850,000 in federal funding, plus $100,000 from a commonwealth Local Share Account, will be used for accessibility and facility improvements to Mt. Lebanon’s recreation center. Read more.
