Avon Drive resident and professional magician, mime and author Dan Kamin will be presenting the Pittsburgh premiere of The Magic Lesson: Former Boy Magician Tells All at the Greer Cabaret Theater downtown, June 25-27.  The one-man show recounts how Kamin  learned magic from “a motley crew of master magicians, criminals and con men.  A coming of age story disguised as a magic show.” 

Kamin, the author of Charlie Chaplin’s One-Man Show and The Comedy of Charlie Chaplin: Artistry in Motion, worked with Robert Downey Jr. on the physical comedy sequences for his film, Chaplin. He has also worked with Johnny Depp on Benny and Joon and Tim Burton on  Mars Attacks!, and played the role of Old Chief Wood’nhead, the wooden Indian that came to life in the cult classic Creepshow 2.

He has performed his magic and mimery at the Three Rivers Arts Festival, with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and on Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.

Dr. Olivia Kubli has joined Mayberry Orthodontics. Kubli holds an undergraduate degree from Washingtron and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. Her dental degree is from the University of Pittsburgh, and she did an orthodontic residency at Seton Hill University. One of her instructors at Seton Hill was Dr. David Mayberry.

”I’m excited to be practicing in the South Hills and look forward to getting to know our patients and providing  excellent orthodontic care to the community,” she said.

She will be practicing in the Mt. Lebanon and Baldwin offices.
