Natalie Callahan is a multimedia artist. She recently returned from an arts research grant conducted in Varanasi, India. While in India, she worked with the weaving community local to the city to uplift the artisans and  develop a body of work rooted in a commentary of arts inaccessibility. The above graphite portrait is of a member of Varanasi’s weaving community.
