Calling all volunteers! Help make a difference for women and girls impacted by period poverty locally and around the world. Days for Girls, a volunteer organization that makes reusable feminine hygiene products, meets on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sunset Hills United Presbyterian Church. No sewing experience necessary!

A wee taste o’ Scotland for lads and lassies! The St. Andrew’s Society of Pittsburgh presents Pittsburgh Tartan Day from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Bethel Presbyterian Church. Free to the public. Featuring bagpipers, fiddlers, dancers, food, raffles and Celtic workshops. Proceeds benefit the Tartan Day Scholarship Fund for students of the Scottish arts.

Dementia Support Group

The Pines of Mount Lebanon is offering a free dementia support group, open to all community members. Experts in the dementia field will lead the group, which is held on the last Wednesday of each month. The first meeting is on April 24 at 6 p.m.
