Regional farmers and food producers sell fresh and locally made goods in the Uptown Business District. The market supports family farms while connecting residents with local vendors and businesses. 9 a.m. to noon.

 

Watersheds and Rain Barrels Workshop with PRC

Learn from the Pennsylvania Resources Council how everyday actions affect watershed health and how rain barrels help manage stormwater. Part of the LeboGreen Sustainability Series. Portersville Steam Show Spring Gas-Up

Calliope Presents Penna Players

Pittsburgh-based Penna Players perform traditional jazz inspired by artists including Louis Armstrong, George Gershwin and Django Reinhardt. The group blends classic jazz, swing and blues with original compositions. The Roots Cellar, $20.

 

Native Plant Sale

Saturday, May 16

The Mt. Lebanon Nature Conservancy hosts its fifth annual native plant sale. Proceeds support tree planting, conservation efforts and educational programs in local parks including Bird Park, Twin Hills and Robb Hollow. 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Sunnyhill Unitarian Universalist Church.

 

Memorial Day

Ceremony at 8:30 a.m., at the Mt. Lebanon Veterans Memorial, off Cedar Boulevard. Speech by Todd DePastino, founder of the Veterans Breakfast Club.

 

Mt. Lebanon Newcomers & Neighbors Club Tea

Saturday, May 30

Current and prospective members are invited to the club’s annual meeting and tea at Mt. Lebanon Public Library. The club is open to all women who live, work or volunteer in Mt. Lebanon. Learn about activities like dining groups, game nights, book clubs and more. Annual membership: $45.

 

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Friday, May 15 through Sunday, May 17

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre presents the Shakespeare-inspired ballet featuring the fairy kingdom of Oberon and Titania, mischievous Puck and two star-crossed couples. Set to Felix Mendelssohn’s score and performed with the PBT Orchestra and Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh. Benedum Center.
